The Challenge
Present in Portugal since 2000 and currently with 36 clinics in Portugal and Spain, LEV / Laboratórios Francediet felt the need to streamline all management at the storefront and also at the logistics center, from where shipments to all clinics are made.
All spaces operated in isolation, without data sharing among them, which complicated operational management and customer service. Similarly, there was no direct coordination between the clinics and the logistics center. Orders were placed by email, causing stock management issues due to lack of information cross-referencing.
It was therefore essential to centralize all operations on a platform accessible in clinics, offices, and the logistics center.
The Results
PONTUAL identified Sage as the ideal partner to address this challenge. The Sage 50c solution was implemented at the storefront for all sales, campaigns, points, and vouchers management. In the warehouse context, the Sage X3 software streamlined all logistics processes, as well as financial management.
Developed by PONTUAL, the UpSync X3 add-on was an essential pillar of the implementation, allowing for the automatic exchange of information between the two applications.
With all information centralized and accessible in clinics, offices, and warehouses, LEV experienced a significant increase in logistical and operational efficiency. The automation of the shipping process allowed the same team to process more orders in less time.
With the investment in own production, LEV and PONTUAL are working together on a new Sage X3 implementation that will provide this client with an end-to-end solution integrating the process from production to product delivery to the final customer.
This change made us realize the impact technology can have on managing our business. Now that we’ve taken this step, we understand it’s important to continue investing in ways to improve our processes.
In this regard, we continue to work together with PONTUAL on a new implementation that is already bearing fruit.
