With 21 clinics in Portugal and 15 in Spain, Lev/ Laboratório Francediet chose PONTUAL to implement technology solutions that allowed for centralized management, automated logistics, and faster order dispatch.
Present in the national territory since 2000, Lev/ Laboratório Francediet, a network of weight loss clinics and food product sales, recently invested in implementing technological solutions to optimize the management of its 36 clinics, financial area, and logistical processes.
Before the implementation by PONTUAL, the management of clients and orders at the clinics—with 34 public locations and two online stores, one in Portugal and another in Spain—was done in isolation, without information sharing between clinics. This situation caused constraints in stock management at the Francediet logistics center in Aveiro, from where products are distributed throughout the Iberian Peninsula.
Given the complexity and scale of this challenge, PONTUAL relied on Sage management solutions to streamline the entire operation of Lev/ Laboratório Francediet. “Regarding logistical and financial management, the choice fell on Sage X3, a robust yet customizable tool that not only streamlined the entire logistics process but also made financial management simpler and more efficient”, says Hélder Ferreira, Sage Software Manager at PONTUAL.
In turn, at the clinics, “we implemented Sage 50c, which responds simply and intuitively to Lev’s needs, namely the management of campaigns, points, and customer vouchers, among others. Finally, to integrate and automate the flow of information between the Sage X3 and Sage 50c software, we implemented the UP Sync X3 add-on, developed by PONTUAL to meet the software integration needs of our Sage clients”, continues the manager.
This implementation allowed the centralization of Lev/ Francediet’s operations on a platform shared among the 36 clinics, offices, and logistics center. “We noticed a significant increase in the efficiency of our logistical and operational process, and the automation of shipments allowed us to process more orders in less time with the same team”, highlights Tiago Morim, operational management manager of Lev clinics.
Recently, Lev invested in creating a production unit at its logistics center in Aveiro. To digitize the production process and “create an end-to-end solution, from production to delivery to the final customer”, says Hélder Ferreira, PONTUAL and Lev are once again working together on enhancing the Sage X3 tool, adapting it to the industrial area.
“This change made us realize the impact technology can have on managing our business. Now that we’ve taken this step, we understand it’s important to continue investing in ways to improve our processes”, notes Tiago Morim. The Sage X3 tool will allow Lev to conduct rigorous production planning, with efficient tracking of all raw materials and ingredients, thus ensuring high quality levels both in the different production stages and in the final product.
