Celebrating two decades of history in 2024, Well-Cared Forest (FBC) is headquartered in Guarda and employs around 140 staff. The company is dedicated to the forestry sector, focusing on spontaneous vegetation control services in infrastructures, power lines, railways, and roads, as well as afforestation services and technical consultancy.
The clients of Well-Cared Forest (FBC) are mainly public entities, including EDP, REN, Infraestruturas de Portugal, and various municipalities and organizations across the country. With a solid structure, the company began a transition period in 2024, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, decarbonization, digitalization, and process improvement.
PONTUAL: an IT Partner on Various Fronts
Accelerating the digitalization process was precisely the challenge posed by FBC to PONTUAL. Aware of the advantages of cloud services, the company proceeded with the migration of its IT infrastructure to servers managed through PONTUAL. Similarly, the company migrated from the V10 version of the Cegid Primavera software to the Cegid Primavera Evolution solution, also hosted in the cloud. Thus, FBC continues to benefit from an excellent ERP, now with all the benefits of the cloud:

In parallel, PONTUAL implemented the Office Extensions solution from Cegid. This is an analysis and reporting tool that allows FBC managers to access dashboards with financial information that supports decision-making, as well as the simple and quick production of reports, analysis maps, income statements, and other indicators.
These management solutions are complemented by the Up Equipments add-on. 100% developed by PONTUAL, it is a tool dedicated to asset and equipment management integrated with the base software (in this case, Cegid Primavera Evolution) and compiles information, usage history, and other data of the company’s assets.
IT Managed Services
In addition to Cegid and PONTUAL software solutions, the partnership between FBC and our team also extends to IT solutions, namely Microsoft 365, with a focus on email management (Outlook) and Sharepoint. The company needed a tool that would allow sharing and accessing folders and files that were only stored locally, and Sharepoint was the solution to centralize this information on a platform accessible from any location or device, with cloud hosting. All this, with great time savings in data and information sharing between teams.
